Prvi put smo svirali 2019. U Beogradu. Svirali smo u finom prostoru pod imenom MKC Kombinat. Sećamo se sjajne publike ! Što se tiče ovog gostovanja u Novom Sadu očekujemo da malo prošetamo gradom, upoznamo neke nove prijatelje i naravno, približimo našu muziku posetiocima i steknemo neke nove fanove.

Deset godina kako postoji bend .

Zašto ste to uradili ?

Kako ocenjujete grčku scenu u ovom trenutku ?

Što se tiče grčkih benova koje poštujemo i volimo navešćemo neke : One Leg Mary, Planet Of Zeus, Tuber, Allochiria, The Bliss, Sadhus the Smoking Community, Last Rizla…

  • Hvala vama !

Hi and welcome to Serbia. Since this is your first time performing here, what are your expectations?

  • Hi there and thank you so much for having us ! Actually it is our second time performing in Serbia, our first show was in Belgrade in 2019. We played in a very nice cozy place called MKC Kombinat. Beautiful crowd ! For this time we are looking forward to make some new friends in Novi Sad, explore the city, and hopefully making more people like our music.

How are you planning to celebrate 10 years of the band’s existence?

  • So you noticed that we have a 10 year anniversary ! Except from this tour, that is part of the festivities, we have some more things coming up. New merchandise, a big dedicated show in Athens and a new release !

Even though you are an instrumental band, your song `Colours of Venice` is a vocal version of `Venice`. Why did you decide for that song to stand out like that? Can we expect more similar experiments?

  • Colours of Venice is a song dedicated to Pavlos Fyssas, an antifacist hip hop artist that was murdered for his beliefs from members of Golden Dawn, a neo nazi political party of Greece. This was our way to pay respect to Pavlos and all of the people that stand out against fascism and racism. We are open to anything that can lead us to a clearer way to express ourselves.

I read somewhere that your idols are `Russian Circles` and `Tool`, have they impacted your music in any way? Anyone else?

  • Some of the bands that have a big impact on our sound and way of thinking apart from these two are Isis, Toundra, Jakob, Baroness, Slipknot, Porcupine Tree, Faith No More and many many more from all different aspects of rock/metal music, instrumental or not.

Your last EP `Tsunami` has gotten some very good reviews. Do you find that to be one of your best works?

  • Tsunami was , so far, our most heavy release. We don’t distinguish between good or bad releases. We ‘re trying to release music not in a certain pattern or genre, but in a way that whatever is coming natural at the moment.

Why the name `Tsunami`?

  •  It is dedicated to our cat that was called Nami 🙂

Do you have something new in plan? Are you in the making of a new album?

  • This past summer we had a live recording jam video session that took place in our home BlackBox Studio. We recorded more or less 4 hours of free jamming. This material is going to be released soon as a record.

How has the pandemic impacted on you presenting your music to people? Are we nearing the end of it, or do you think this will last for a long time?

  • He hadn’t had the chance to play live for nearly 2 years. This was a totally new and strange experience for everyone, musicians and crowd also. We did not get involved with live streams or play in front of seated people. We don’t criticize those who did, but playing live is a totally different situation for us. So now we are more eager than ever to perform ! And no , we have not the slightest clue about the pandemic. We hope and wish for the end of it soon !

With whom would you like to perform in the future?

  • That one is easy. Russian Circles !

How would you describe/rate the Greek scene now? What band(s) do you admire from your country?

  • For the last 10 years our little country’s rock / metal scene has exploded all over. It’s a very promising and prominent situation for everyone that is involved here, especially for us smaller fishes ! As for some greek bands that we admire, whether they’re still playing or not are: One Leg Mary, Planet of Zeus, Tuber, Allochiria, The Bliss, Sadhus the Smoking Community, Last Rizla.

What are your plans for the future?

  • More touring, more releasing, more touring, more releasing until death tears us apart.

Thank you for participating in this interview. Kind regards from Dotkom and Liman Crew.

  • We thank you !
